Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, who has been travelling incognito at every destination to promote ''3 Idiots'', set for release on December 24, has finally made it to the metropolis , escaping all eyes, save a small girl, across the country.
Elaborating on his ''Disguise'' tour, Aamir today told newsjpersons: ''The last place were I visited was Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, where a small girl recognised me, but I was not able to make friends with her.'' He said, ''For tomorrow's film premier Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra had invited Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and others. but I invited only my 24 friends, I made during my journey across the country''.
''Every time we do same things to promote our film, but this time I felt some unique idea should be adopted for the marketing of '3 Idiots','' the actor, who visited temples and walked the streets like a common man in ordinary clothes and a little disguise, explained. Interestingly, before moving to some other secret locations in disguise, Aamir also located his mother Zeenat's childhood abode in the city and even expressed his desire to buy the building from its present , a Sikh gentleman. Aamir's mother used to live in Khwaja Manzil of Tiliya Nala locality in Varanasi during her childhood, and the actor had chosen this place to be his first place for his innovative promotion.
''3 Idiots'' is a big budget film, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani of ''Munnabhai'' fame. Aamir Khan plays the part of an engineering student along with Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan, and Kareena Kapoor provides the romantic angle to the movie.
