March 24, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher are finally going to get married after a six year engagement. The wedding was an extremely private affair. Only six guests were invited to the traditional Jewish ceremony. It took place on March 15 in Paris.
The six guests were asked to move quickly. So as to keep the celebration a secret, the guests were given a very short notice before the wedding by the bride and groom.
Fisher had once revealed her desire to have a private ceremony as she felt that it was important to have a beautiful ritual celebrated just with family and friends. She had also spoken about how it gets tough to keep it private when you’re in the public eye all the time.
Baron Cohen and Fisher have been together for 8 years and have a 2-year-old daughter, Olive. They were spotted walking around Paris’ Place Vendome wearing matching berets and stayed at the Hotel Ritz for a week. They have now returned to London for Fisher’s new film, Burke and Hare.
