February 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Lyricist Guru Thakur is renowned for his writings and poetry in Marathi film industry. It is said that real often inspires reel and something similar happened to Guru when he was penning his thoughts for song ‘Khel Mandala’ (Natarang).
“‘Maan Udhan Varyache’ from ‘Aga Bai Arechya!’ is the song which is very dear to me and so is ‘Khel Mandala’ from ‘Natarang’, the track is written on a guy who has the passion to do something different. The song is dedicated to all those who are struggling and want to be something different. This song is also inspired by my own life and struggle,” says the bard emotionally.
“For example if in a family of doctors a child wants to choose another profession against their guardian’s will, the family will definitely oppose him/her. Similarly ‘Khel Mandala’ is a song which narrates the struggle against odds that even I have faced in life,” signs off Guru.
