February 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Satish Kaushik who is largely know for his rib tickling comedy seems to be consciously making an effort to change his comic image by doing something different in international films. And so far he seems to be successful, courtesy ‘Brick Lane’ and his latest upcoming film ‘Road, Movie’ where he dons a rather serious role. In ‘Road, Movie’, Satish Kaushik’s performance has been widely appreciated at all the international film festivals.

So, what Satish Kaushik has to say about this image change? Satish Kaushik says, “Unfortunately, in Bollywood I have been mostly offered only comic roles and few of those characters earned huge popularity. But when it comes to west, I have done very different roles whether it’s ‘Brick Lane’ or my latest venture ‘Road, Movie’. I’m extremely happy that I earned a place with audience and received their love, affection and respect. But, I don’t think I have formed any image among international audience.”

In the film, Satish Kaushik plays the role of a wanderer who seemingly knows everything about life. As a constant companion of Abhay Deol, he brings fun moments in the film while also making quite a few statements in an understated manner.

The film will see the theatrical release on 5th March 2010.
