Feb 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Shastri Family is filled with ‘josh’ and fervor to celebrate the much awaited wedding of their eldest daughter, Purva (Alisha Khan) along with her lovely sisters, Smriti (Shiju Kataria), Akashi (Adaa Khan), Anokhi (Ojaswai Oberoi), Neema Fai-Aunty (Ketki Dave), Sevantilal- father (Darshan Zariwala) and Revti- Mother (Shruti Ulfat). Star Parivaar along with Shastri family has been preparing for this grand wedding which is slated for February 8, 2010 at 8:30 pm only on Star Plus in Hats off production’s new serial ‘Behenein’.
On the grand ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ of Purva the whole Star Parivar was present to bless and wish her luck for the D’day. The atmosphere was fun-filled with loads of ‘Garba’ happening. Right from Akshara (Hina Khan) of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ to Baa (Sarita Joshi) of ‘Baa Bahoo Aur Baby’ every one marked their presence for this grand evening.
Speaking about ‘Behenein’ the creative head of Hats off production, J.D. Majethia informs, “As there was ‘Baa, Bahu and Baby’ in all my serials, I thought of bringing ‘Behenein’ which were missing. This serial will take a new mode with each and every sister’s life in the show and it will be the first serial which will be starting with a grand wedding ceremony.”
On the launch of the show, Anupam Vasudev, EVP, STAR India, says, “‘Behenein’ has a compelling storyline that portrays the emotional bond among four sisters. In tune with the celebration and the story progression on-air, we have organized sangeet ceremonies across the nation to set the tone for the impending wedding on Feb 8 ON Star Plus.”
