February 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): When filmmakers present a scene with 10 different shots, it’s up to editors to choose the best ones. Now, how it sounds about an editor wearing director’s hat? Well that’s what we heard straight from the editor Anthony, who’ll soon direct a film.
Anthony made his debut as an editor with Gowtham Menon’s ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ and has been a part of more than 25 successful films including Rajinikanth’s ‘Sivaji- The Boss’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’. As of now, the young technician is simultaneously working on big tickets- ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’, ‘Endhiran’, ‘Paiyya’, ‘Madrasapattinam’ and few more projects in pipeline.
Anthony says, “I have worked on different genre at the same time and it offers a great experience that makes my work quite enjoyable. From a very long time, I’ve been planning to make a film and it will happen by this year end. I have approached director Vijay to come up with a script and will wield megaphone for this film.”
