Feb 2, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Darshan Jariwala, the National Film Award winner for essaying the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the film “Gandhi, My Father” visited Digital Academy - The Film School for a guest lecture. He spoke on the topic of 'the use of emotional memory while portraying characters’. He captivated the students by the authenticity of his emotions displayed through his expressions. He has proved his mettle as an actor with his fabulous performances over a period of time. He believes that it’s not an easy task to perform in front of the camera even though you have a solid theatre background to support you. In theatre you get a chance to alter your performance with each show, unlike films, where the frame is frozen, giving a feeling to all the actors that they could have performed better.

Mr. Jariwala was quiet impressed with the set up of Digital Academy–The Film School and said that, “It’s a great idea done very sincerely and therefore shall succeed”
