The New Year has opened with a big bang, given the number of films lined up for release today. Director AMR Ramesh’s (of Cyanide fame) next film, ‘Police Quarters’. The other films releasing on January 1 will be ‘Minugu’ and ‘Naan Madidh Thappa’.
‘Police Quarters’ has been shot in Bangalore’s real police quarters and is based on what happened after the Babri Masjid incident of 1992.
The leads in debutant director Anthony Jayavanth’s film, ‘Minugu’, are Sunil Rao and Pooja Gandhi. The film will see theatre actor Ajith Hande debut and will be produced by Gajendra.
Last week, ‘Naan Madidh Thappa’ failed to release as it did not get enough theatres. The film which is about the human tendency to make mistakes is releasing today. Jaggi plays the protagonist in the film.
