On January 7, the Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa will inaugurate the 6th Annual International Children Film Festival, Bengaluru. The brand ambassador of this festival will be actor Upendra.


Mysore, Mandya, Hubli and Belgaum districts will also have the festival taking place there simultaneously along with their Bengaluru counterpart. The events for the festival are touted to be workshops on animation, seminar on children’s film movement in India, screening of environment films, role of mass media in creating environment awareness.


Indian, Iranian, Swedish, Chinese, Mexican, Sri Lankan, Swiss, Italian, American, Danish, etc. films will be screened at three theatres in Bangalore- Movieland, Navrang and Bal Bhavan for the festival.


The only Indian films at the festival are Pasanga (Tamil), Amulyam (Telugu), Bettadapurada Ditta Makalu (Kannada), Harun Arun (Gujarati) and Tsunami (Hindi).
