Actor Komal Kumar has backed out of director Guruprasad’s forthcoming venture, ‘Director’s Special’.
The comedy actor stated that his reason for declining the film was that after he heard the story of the film, he felt he wouldn’t be able to do justice to the film.
While he agrees that he can do comedy roles well, he just felt that he wouldn’t be able to ridicule the industry insiders. He is going to return the advance amount to Suresh as he feels that he shouldn’t star in a film reluctantly and spoil the quality of the film and Guruprasad’s dream character.
He also adds that dropping the film was his personal choice and that no one, not even his brother Jaggesh has ever forced him to back out of a project. He claims that he participates in a running race only if he is confident of winning it.
