National Award winning filmmaker, Prakash Jha is currently planning a world premiere of his forthcoming film Rajniti, he is also looking at raising funds for charity. The director will be holding benefit dinners with the entire starcast of the film to raise funds for a multi-functional hospital which is being built in Bihar.

"My cast has wholeheartedly supported me in this venture and made it possible. We will be holding benefit dinners in ten cities across the world to raise funds. We will be heading to New York, San Francisco, Toronto, London, Melbourne, Durban, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Muscat," Jha states.

The film is set for release on May 28, 2010 and Prakash Jha Producers and id8 Media Solutions will be organising the entire project. When asked why he chose to announce the release date so soon, Jha says, "We have already finished the entire shoot in Bhopal and while the post production will take some time, we just didn’t want our film to clash with any other release."

About politics, the director who is known for making politically-charged movies, says, "It inspires me in my everyday life. I have already contested two Lok Sabha elections and I think it is a very challenging subject."

However, Jha does point out that the characters in his films are not based on any real life political figures. "The characters in my film have no similarity to any politician dead or alive. There may be a few shades or references, but they are not completely etched out of them," he says.
